As indicated by the figure below, the use of bioethanol in Italy remains extremely limited. The imports decreased by 145.8% between 2010 and 2019. In Italy, the use of bio-ETBE in gasoline is more common.

Current

This report describes gasoline quality regulation, production and supply of fossil and bio-based gasoline per biofuel blending grades and feedstock, as well as the actual quality of gasoline sold in the Italy. The fuel demand projection section indicates an increasing sales of bioethanol in the next years, but within the limits of RON 95 E10 grade.
