This section describes demand for fossil and alternative fuel for road transport, including their grades per biofuel and octane in relation to gasoline.
The figure below indicates fossil and alternative fuel supply for road transportation between 2009 and 2018.
During this period, gasoline consumption decreased by 25.9% and liquified petroleum gas (LPG) consumption dropped by 44.4%, while consumption of diesel increased by 22.1%, bioethanol consumption rose by 137.4%, and consumption of biodiesel went up by 9.1%. There are no sales of natural gas or biogas.
It is noteworthy, that electricity consumption increased by 950% between 2009 and 2018.
