Quality specifications
Fuel specifications in the member states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) are set by the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO). However, the GSO standards are not mandatory and typically act as the minimum quality requirements for fuels sold in member countries.
In Qatar, gasoline standards are adopted by the Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology (QS). QS is responsible for issuing, approving, reviewing, amending and monitoring the implementation of standards and technical regulations with regard to all goods, products and services in Qatar.
