Quality monitoring

In 2021, counterfeit fuels were a frequent issue in Mongolia. The Mongolia Fuel Consumers Association reported that more than 300,000 tonnes of counterfeit fuel was imported to the country.

To increase fuel quality in Mongolia, relevant ministries, a specialized inspection agency and the Authority for Fair Competition and Consumer Protection (AFCCP) are working on the fuel quality monitoring issue. However, no further information was available at the time of writing this report.
