Projection
From January 1, 2024, the maximum sulfur content in gasoline was 50 mg/kg in the regular gasoline grade (RON 91) and 10 mg/kg in the premium gasoline grade (RON 95). There is no future plan to reduce the sulfur grade further for the regular gasoline grade. The maximum regulatory sulfur content in gasoline up to 50 mg/kg in Ghana complies with the Economic Community of West African States () harmonized specifications.
Regarding bioethanol, there is no planned future mandate.
