Recent developments

On July 7, 2023, the new Tunisian gasoline NT 04.54 (2023) - Automotive unleaded gasoline - Requirements and test methods standard was adopted by the members of the technical standard commission. This standard was implemented from November 30, 2023. The standard is based on the European gasoline standard EN228:2012 + A1:2017 - Automotive unleaded gasoline - Requirements and test methods. Key changes in the new specification compared with the previous one (NT 04.54 (2001)) include ethanol content of up to 10% v/v (instead of only 5% v/v), and an aromatic content limit of 35% v/v maximum, among others.
