Bio-based diesel grades available

In the UK, the bio-based diesel grades available are B7, B20 and HVO sold for special purpose vehicles.

In October 2022, Esso launched a trial of Esso Supreme 25% Renewable Diesel at 20 Esso retail stations in the South East of the UK. The product can be used in vehicles compatible with B7 diesel grade according to the announcement.

In April 2024, BP started the sale of bp bioenergy HVO (100% HVO) at its forecourts in the UK and the Netherlands.
