UK: BP rolls out HVO100

In April 2024, BP announced that it is supplying its 100% hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO) product, bp bioenergy HVO, at four BP forecourts in the UK and seven BP forecourts in the Netherlands. The goal is to expand the availability of the product in more BP fuel stations across these countries.

According to the announcement, bp bioenergy HVO is derived from waste-derived feedstocks and available to fleets only. However, the announcement also highlights that this fuel can be used in any vehicles approved by the manufacturers for the use of EN 15940 fuels (pure HVO), in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
