Labeling

Sri Lanka’s government regulates the transportation and storage of petroleum products under the Petroleum Ordinance. However, it does not regulate how fuel stations should label their fuel dispensers. Therefore, oil marketing companies usually label their fuel dispenser according to the brand name of the fuel. The image below shows an example of a gasoline dispenser in Sri Lanka.
