The Ministry of Energy and Mining of Colombia regulates the quality of fuel sold on the market.

The biofuel blend mandates must be regulated jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, and the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
