Fuel ethanol
Ethanol (E100) is not used as a neat fuel, but it is blended with gasoline up to 10% v/v. Resolution 789, from May 20, 2016, which superseded Resolution 1180, from June 21, 2006, defines normal and denatured anhydrous ethanol specifications in Colombia. Ethanol must be denatured before it is blended into gasoline, so that it is not appropriate for human consumption. Specifications can be checked in the SGS INSPIRE specifications database.
