Existent gum
Washed gum values averaged 2.4 mg/100 ml during 2010-2022, below the maximum limit proposed by gasoline category 3 of the Worldwide Fuel Charter (WWFC) classification of 5 mg/100 ml. Six samples between 2017 and 2021 were above this recommended value, reaching a maximum value of 18.4 mg/100 ml in May 2021 in Cordoba province.
The 2021 data shows relatively high existent gum values. However, Argentina’s fuel standard does not specify regulatory maximum values for existent gum.
Unwashed gum values averaged 30.3 mg/100 ml, and were above the maximum limit proposed by gasoline category 3 of the WWFC classification of 30 mg/100 ml. 86 samples between 2010 and 2022 were above this recommended value, reaching a maximum value of 116 mg/100 ml in December 2013 in Buenos Aires province.
