Nadezda Kokotovic

Nadezda has 20 years of managerial experience, most of it in the oil and gas sector and joined SGS INSPIRE in 2022.

She was the director of the Brussels Energy Club from 2019. Before that, she was a chief of staff to the CEO of the leading Balkan energy company NIS Gazprom Neft, where she managed an international team of 40 employees and four offices. She established and managed the EU liaison office of the company and acted as a representative in Brussels for five years. In these positions, she oversaw the overall operational management, including administration, HR and finances.

Prior to that she was an advocacy adviser at the Continental Office CEE/CIS/Baltic states of the SOS Kinderdorf International in Vienna.

Nadezda holds an M.A. in Russian Studies from the University of Belgrade, an MA in International Relations from the University of Kent and is currently enrolled in an MSc in Energy Policy at the University of Sussex. She is an energy columnist for the Agefi Luxembourg financial journal. She is fluent in Serbian, English and Russian.

Aida Gonzalez Palomino
Chief Analyst, SGS INSPIRE

Aida manages content for SGS INSPIRE and leads its team of analysts. She is an expert in energy and transport policy.

Aida joined SGS INSPIRE in May 2019, as a market analyst responsible for the Americas region. She is an expert in energy-related issues, mostly fuel quality, electricity, transport and environment, and has 14 years of experience in consulting, policy development and market analysis in Europe and Latin America.

Prior to joining SGS INSPIRE, Aida was the energy policy director at the Spanish Photovoltaic Association, and an advisor at the European Electricity Association, where she did policy development work for renewable electricity, advising governments and industry. She was manager for Latin America at Hart Energy, where she covered fuel quality regulation and biofuel markets. She also worked as a project manager for a German photovoltaic company.

Aida has a master’s degree in Chemistry and several postgraduate studies in European law and project management. She holds an executive master’s degree in Business Administration and speaks Spanish, English, German, Dutch and French.

Senior Market Analyst for Asia Pacific, SGS INSPIRE

Lucky is the Sales Manager and Market Analyst for the Asia Pacific region. Based in Singapore, she has more than 17 years of experience in policy analysis on fuel specifications, emissions, sustainability and alternative fuels.

As a Market Analyst, she understands the fuel market dynamics in the Asia Pacific region very well. Lucky also advises governments and refiners in the region on fuel and biofuel specification standards and policy implementations.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia and a master’s degree in Business Administration from SP Jain School of Global Management, Singapore.

Prior to joining SGS INSPIRE, Lucky spent more than ten years with Hart Energy in Singapore and has more than 15 years of experience in various roles in the manufacturing industry in Indonesia. Lucky also founded the Triumvirate Learning Centre in Jakarta, to teach fun science and math to scholars.

Business Development Manager, SGS INSPIRE

Claire is in charge of representing SGS INSPIRE in Brussels, as the capital of Europe. She contributes to the promotion of all SGS INSPIRE activities. She positions SGS INSPIRE market intelligence services with a broad range of stakeholders and works on expanding the client portfolio.

Claire joined SGS INSPIRE in July 2023, as a business development manager for Europe. She is an expert in EU public affairs and brings in 11 years of experience in campaigning in the areas of energy, climate and environment policies. Prior to joining SGS INSPIRE, Claire held the positions of Policy Director at the European solar industry association (SolarPower Europe) and Public Affairs & Communications Director at the European paper industry association (Cepi). Previously, she worked for the European Electricity sector as a policy advisor as well as public affairs consultant advising European and global companies in the energy and transport sector. Claire has a Masters Degree in Political Sciences and International Relations from Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence (France) as well as a post-graduate certification in people management from ICHEC, Brussels Management School. She speaks French, English, Spanish and Italian.

Market Analyst for Europe and Africa, SGS INSPIRE

Dhanisha joined SGS INSPIRE in April 2021 as a Market Analyst for Europe and Africa. Her expertise is focused on fuel product development for both diesel and gasoline vehicles across the globe, as well as forecasting the trend for new technologies in the energy sector. She has 8 years experience working in product development for fuels and lubricant; analyzing vehicle parc to design engine tests, assessing new additive chemistries, new trends in engine technology and fuel composition.

Before joining SGS INSPIRE, Dhanisha was a Technology Analyst at bp where she led the techno-economic assessment and impact of emerging technologies to shape the strategy for business growth. She also inputted key recommendations to the senior executive team, on how technology can reduce carbon emissions in outdoor farming to achieve net zero through bioenergy production. Prior to this role, she was the Fuel Technology lead for the introduction of bp E10 fuels in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and China provinces. She has also delivered new bp fuel claims in Australia and supported the launch of fuels in new markets such as India, Indonesia, and Mexico.

Her previous roles at bp includes Marine Lubricant technologist and Analytical technician for lubricant development.

Dhanisha has a Master’s in chemistry and holds a Chartership status (CChem) by the Royal Society of Chemistry. She speaks English, French, Hindi and Mauritian Creole.

Senior Market Analyst for the European Union area, SGS INSPIRE

Botagoz is in charge of research and analytical work related to EU policies and legislative developments in the EU Member States. She is based in Brussels, Belgium. Botagoz has 13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with expertise in regulatory affairs and commercial management.

Prior to joining SGS INSPIRE, Botagoz worked in Chevron Kazakhstan, taking various roles in public affairs, regulatory and compliance, marketing, and transportation departments.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Institute of Oil & gas, postgraduate certification in marketing from the European School of Economics, and a master’s degree in clean technology management.

She also worked for SABIC in the Netherlands. She was responsible for analyzing opportunities and limitations for the company’s sustainable fuel strategy with regard to the recent EU regulations in the energy and transportation sector.

Daria recently joined SGS INSPIRE in March 2023 as a Market Analyst for CIS countries, Western Balkans and Turkey. She is an expert in fuel production, fuel quality regulation, and market analysis. Daria has extensive research experience in fuel production and development, including biofuels.

Before joining SGS INSPIRE, Daria was working in Academia in the field of novel approaches for the production of liquid fuels from biomass. She was researching synthetic biodiesel via catalytic hydrotreating. Daria holds a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Environment. She speaks Russian, English, Czech, Spanish, and German.

Market Analyst for Latin America and the Caribbean, SGS INSPIRE

Henry joined SGS INSPIRE in August 2022, as a market analyst covering Latin American and the Caribbean region. He is experienced in energy-related issues, mostly as technical support in oil commerce. He has a strong knowledge of trade and international oil policy and business development, including market monitoring, identification of new opportunities, and valuation to access new markets.

He has 13 years of experience researching, planning, pricing, forecasting and market analysis worldwide. Before joining SGS INSPIRE, Henry was a Senior Oil Market Analyst in the oil industry, forecasting crude oil and its product prices and evaluating the commercial value of different grades of crude oil and refining products. He prepared various market reports and performed heavy crude price forecasts with netback parity using dedicated software and tools, considering market fundamentals simultaneously. Previously, he was a Planning Analyst at the National Oil Company of Venezuela, developing strategic plans.

He is a Geochemistry professional with a Master’s Degree in Politics and International Oil Trade.

Based in Mexico City, Jorge joined SGS INSPIRE in 2023 as market analyst and business development manager for the North America Region. He has 15 years of experience in market analysis and consulting for the energy and finance industries, with proven expertise in performing economic research, outlining financial insights, regulatory & sector risks, and delivering market intelligence.

Before joining SGS INSPIRE, Jorge was the upstream senior research analyst for Wood Mackenzie for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, where he was responsible for carrying out financial and economic valuations of upstream assets as well as conducting economic analysis and writing market insights on topics such as commercial developments, oil & gas economics, fiscal regimes, among others. He was a business development consultant for an investment boutique firm focused on the O&G industry in Mexico.

Jorge also has vast experience in the financial sector, having worked in the investment banking division of Citigroup Latin America team developing financial and economic models for several industries. Jorge holds a B.A. in Economics and is currently a candidate to earn an Energy Law & Regulation degree.

Trained as a chemical technical assistant, Stefan has been working for 23 years in the fields of fuels, lubricants, customer consulting and failure damage analysis. He is highly experienced in analytical methods, instruments, and specifications regarding fuels and lubricants, having worked as an analyst, lab manager, and division manager. He is a well-known and respected partner for the mineral oil industry and automotive OEMs.

Stefan started his career at the Fraunhofer Institute for Microengineering and Microsystems IMM research facility in Mainz, Germany. He has a diploma as a Chemical Technical Assistant from Naturwissenschaftliches Technikum Dr. Künkele (NTK) in Landau, Germany.

Yusuke joined SGS in 2017 and is currently the Manager of the Oil, Gas & Chemical Services Department at SGS Japan. He is responsible for all automotive and oil industry clients in Japan.

Prior to joining SGS, he obtained a master's degree in chemistry. After graduating from university, he worked for a Japanese car manufacturer for nine years as a fuel and lubricant specialist, he investigated the impact of cars on various fuel, and analysed a large number of fuels and lubricants. He also led discussions with other car manufacturers, oil manufacturers and additive manufacturers as a member of the Fuel and Lubricant Committee in JAMA, Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. This experience is currently being put to good use in his current job when having technical discussions with clients from the entire Japanese automotive industry.

Yusuke is an expert about cars and fuels, but also about hazardous materials and laws.
