Per biodiesel grade

Biodiesel may be blended with diesel up to 5% v/v in Diesel No. 2 and up to 10% v/v in Premium Diesel according to the Ecuadorian Technical Standard (NTE) from the Ecuadorian Service of Standardization (INEN) 1489:2021. However, SGS INSPIRE estimates that biodiesel blend in Premium Diesel averages 1.2% v/v in Ecuador from 2023 to 2024. Ecuador produced 51 million liters annually from 2023-2024, and all of this was consumed as domestic diesel blends.
