This chapter describes the regulatory requirements for gasoline quality and the quality of bioethanol blends.
Conventional gasoline
In Czech Republic, Decree No. 516/2020 in the Collection of Laws (Decree on Fuel Requirements and Implementation of Certain Other Provision of the Fuel Act) sets the standards for fuel composition and quality, among other requirements. This law came into force on January 1, 2021. This Decree transposes the European Union Directive 98/70/EC on fuel quality (also referred to as the EU Fuel Quality Directive (FQD)). Diesel fuel must conform to the specifications of Annex 2 of Decree No.516/2020 and also to the Czech standards ČSN
