Bio-based gasoline grades available

In Italy, E5 gasoline grade (gasoline containing up to 5%v/v ethanol) and gasoline grade E10 (gasoline containing up to 10%v/v ethanol) may be distributed.

Gasoline E5, commonly known as Benzina Senza Piombo or Benzina Verde, dominates the market in Italy, accounting for nearly 100% of sales nationwide. However, according to the SGS Worldwide Fuel Survey, RON98 E10 has been also available in the country in 2024, offered by the Q8 retailer.
