Recent developments

While the Nepali government does not mandate adding ethanol to gasoline, some gasoline contains 10-20% v/v of ethanol. This is because India, the sole source of fuel imports, is expanding E20 (gasoline containing 19-20% v/v ethanol) penetration across the country ahead of the completion target of April 1, 2025.
