Data from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) shows E85 (ethanol-gasoline blends containing 51% to 83% ethanol for flex-fuel vehicles) sales in the state hit a record high of 118 million gallons (approximately 450 million liters) in 2023, marking a 14% rise from 2022.
