Comment on this paragraph Additionally, the EPA has introduced the "Tier 4" pollutant emissions standards for non-methane organic gases (NMOG), NOX, and PM among other pollutants. For LDVs, the Tier 4 NMOG+NOX standards will require a reduction to a fleet average of 15 mg/mile by 2032, a 50% cut from the current 30 mg/mile under the Tier 3 standards. Medium-duty vehicles will be required a fleet average level of 75 mg/mile by 2033, which represents a reduction of 58% to 70% from the existing Tier 3 standards.

Comment on this paragraph The Tier 4 standards include phase-in implementation schedules to give manufacturers additional time to adjust their product plans and apply new technologies to vehicles. For light-duty vehicles and trucks 20% of vehicles must meet Tier 4 standards in 2027, 40% in 2028, 60% in 2029, and 100% in 2030.
