Indonesia: B50 mandate likely to be implemented by 2025

Indonesia’s elected president, Prabowo Subianto, who will take office in October 2024, announced plans on August 16, 2024, to increase the biodiesel blending mandate from the current B35 (35% v/v biodiesel/fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) blended with 65% v/v conventional diesel) to B50 (50% v/v FAME blended with 50% v/v conventional diesel) in 2025.
