On March 13, 2024, the Norwegian Environment Agency (NEA) announced that an investigation would be carried out following an inspection which found that feedstock requirements were not met for advanced biofuels by a fuel supplier. Norway is not part of the European Union but follows EU regulations related to biofuels.
