EU: Clean Industrial Deal officially published

On February 26, 2024, the European Commission (EC) published the "Clean Industrial Deal: A joint roadmap for competitiveness and decarbonization (CID)". This is in response to the long-realized need for a transformational business plan for Europe that brings together climate action and competitiveness to accelerate decarbonization, reindustrialization and innovation. The CID will offer business incentives for industry decarbonization.

The focus will be the energy-intensive industries and the clean-tech sector. The main plans adopted with the CID related directly or indirectly to the transportation sector are as follows:
