Viet Nam: government signed agreements with U.S. companies to advance biofuel development

On March 13, 2025, during an official visit to the United States, Viet Nam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) signed five agreements with American companies aimed at accelerating the development of the country's alternative fuel industry, including the bioethanol, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

The MOIT delegation included representatives from key Vietnamese corporations such as the Vietnam Energy and Industry Group (PVN), Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV), and Masan.
