Germany: first public station with synthetic gasoline

On June 16, 2025, Klima Kraftstoffe GmbH announced the launch of a new synthetic gasoline, called KlimaBenzin95, for public sale. KlimaBenzin95 is a gasoline that contains 95% synthetic (non-fossil) components. The company stated that the fuel's composition leads to a reduction in the CO2 emissions by up to 90%. KlimaBenzin95 is a drop-in fuel with a research octane number (RON) 95 and contains 10% ethanol by volume (v/v) (RON 95 E10). These characteristics make it suitable for use in vehicles without modification or adaptation.
