Indonesia: government mandates B40 from January 2025 but delayed enforcement by one month

In earlier news, dated September 02, 2024, it was reported that Indonesia’s elected president aimed to increase the biodiesel mandate from 35% v/v to 50% v/v. However, the government has instead chosen to increase it to 40% v/v.

At the end of December 2024, Indonesia’s Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources visited Pertamina’s refinery to ensure the national oil company’s preparation for supplying B40 (diesel containing up to 40% v/v of biodiesel) starting January 1, 2025.
