Capacity, Production and Consumption of Biodiesel
Minnesota is currently the tenth U.S. state in biodiesel production. Minnesota has three biodiesel plants with a combined production capacity of approximately 87.5 million gallons per year (2018 data):
    •REG (Glenville) – production capacity of 44 million gallons
    •Minnesota Soybean Processors (Brewster) – production capacity of 40.5 million gallons
    •EverCat Fuels (Isanti) – production capacity of 3 million gallons
On average throughout the year, Minnesota produces about 96% of all biodiesel consumed in the state (74 million gallons produced). From the 1 billion gallons of diesel consumed in Minnesota, nearly 8% vol. comes from biodiesel.
