Actual quality
The following sections show test results for key parameters of diesel quality, per SGS’s Worldwide Fuel Survey (SGS WWFS). Unlike in the case of gasoline, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) , making it particularly challenging to try to assess diesel quality in country via reference to publicly-available data.
This section analyzes the actual quality of diesel sold in the U.S., based on the results of the SGS WWFS. SGS surveyed several gas stations in the U.S. as part of this. 400 samples were taken in 33 states. The following sections show the results of the survey for the years 2010 through to 2023.
