Tax Benefits for HVO in Finland
Energy Taxation Guidelines published on November 8, 2019, rule the energy (fuel and biofuel) taxation in Finland. Differentiated excise duty applies to fossil fuels and biofuels, as indicated in the table below.
Lower energy taxation on bio-products has been driving their blending. However, there is a proposal to increase excise duty rates in 2020. It would increase HVO and other biofuel prices.
