Subsidy

South Korea’s government does not give direct subsidies for gasoline. However, it sets lower taxes on diesel and autogas (liquefied petroleum gas for automotive fuel) than on gasoline.

On April 11, 2023, autogas was sold at 60% of the gasoline price per liter.
