South Korea’s gasoline specification under the Petroleum and Alternative Fuel Business Act set a maximum limit for methanol of 0.1% m/m.

The SGS Worldwide Fuel Survey results for gasoline samples taken in 2012-2022 showed methanol was found at below 0.1% v/v in the period 2012-2018. Beyond 2018, no methanol was found in the samples.
