Metallic additives
Gasoline standards under the Clean Air Conservation Act and the Petroleum and Alternative Fuels Business Act only regulate the maximum limit of lead and phosphorus at 0.013 g/l and 0.0013 g/l, respectively. They do not regulate the content of any other metal including manganese and iron.
The SGS Worldwide Fuel Survey results from all gasoline samples taken in South Korea from 2012 to 2022 showed less than 0.1 mg/l or 0.0001 g/l of manganese, iron, phosphorous and lead.
