The result of the fuel quality monitoring system is not publicly available. However, retail stations that passed both commission and trial purchase analysis will be given an “SQ mark” which is an average quality certification mark system of fuel sold in the market by the Economy and Industry Bureau under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. “Average quality” means that it met the JIS standards.

The retail stations are then allowed to show the “SQ mark” at their stations to help consumers choose quality fuel.
