Biodiesel Blends
The Ministry of Energy of Kenya developed a for the biodiesel industry that proposed a technical and economic feasibility study analysis to start biodiesel blending in Kenya, achieving a blending ratio of B5 in 2012 and B10 in 2020. However, no mandate was ever officially enforced and no consistent biodiesel blending has been carried out either.
The Uganda Biofuels Act of 2018 approved the blending of biofuels in fuels but did not set up a mandate. According to SGS information, no biodiesel blending is being performed in Uganda.
Burundi does not regulate biodiesel blending into diesel, nor Rwanda or South Sudan.
