Sulfur
The general trend shown by the SGS WWFS is a very important reduction of sulfur in diesel. Kenyan sulfur standards in diesel have been at 50 ppm since 2015, when KS EAS 177:2012 diesel standard entered into force.
Except in 2012 when the maximum sulfur in some samples was above the regulatory limit, sulfur levels have met quality specifications, however, these samples have only been taken in Nairobi and Mombasa; in more rural parts of the country, there might be some incompliances.
