Regulations
Most regulations related to quality or standardization, including those for fuels and vehicles, in member countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, are regulated by the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO).
Every national standardization body in the GSO is obliged to adopt the GSO standards as national standards. However, member countries are also allowed to set and implement more stringent regulations than those of the GSO.
