Logistics and distribution
According to the Renewable Energy and and Energy Efficiency Commission’s (CEREFE) latest report, at the end of 2022, there were about 2,600 fuel stations in Algeria. 47% of these were equipped to dispense LPG, representing about 1,222 stations.
In Algeria, there are ten fuel suppliers. The main supplier is the state-owned Naftal, a subsidiary of Sonatrach. The nine other suppliers include Petrobaraka, Petroser, GBS Belhocine, Petrogel, Galaoil, Alpetro, Hamdi, Propal and Stpp. The figure below gives an estimation of fuel stations per company in the country, based on SGS INSPIRE and CEREFE data from 2022.
