Fossil gasoline
The figure below indicates the import, export and consumption of fossil gasoline in Ireland over the last ten years, up to 2021. Ireland imports most of its gasoline and from the figure below there is a decreasing trend of gasoline import and consumption. For the years of 2020 and 2021 this decrease in gasoline imports and consumption (in road transport) can be explained by the travel restrictions imposed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pattern of gasoline exports fluctuates across the years but remains relatively low.
Note that the 2021 data is provisional and no data was available for consumption in road transport.
