Oxygenates
Results from the SGS Worldwide Fuel Survey (WWFS) indicate that ethanol is the main oxygenate used in RON 95 E5 grade. In 2017, there were traces of MTBE in gasoline (an average of 0.06% by v/v of MTBE). The octane quality of gasoline is achieved with ethanol.
