Quality specifications

The quality of fuels sold in Japan is regulated under the umbrella of the Air Pollution Control Act of the Ministry of Environment and the Act on Quality Control of Gasoline and Other Fuels of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

However, the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee also publishes fuel and biofuel specifications for commercial purposes.
