Bioethanol

The quality of neat fuel ethanol (E100) to be blended with gasoline or sold as E100 in Viet Nam must meet the latest fuel specifications, QCVN 1:2022/BKHCN, which came into force on February 1, 2023.

These specifications set several parameters, including a minimum ethanol content of 99.0% v/v and a maximum limit for inorganic chloride content of 8 mg/l or 10 mg/kg. The SGS INSPIRE fuel specifications database provides more details of these limits.
