Other alternative diesel mandates

While the government does not mandate the use of alternative fuels, it continues searching for ways to reduce fuel imports.

In July 2023, a concrete project concept was presented in Amman, the capital of Jordan, to convert the country’s diesel waste collection fleet to bio-compressed natural gas (bio-CNG). The bio-CNG was collected using methane captured from landfills. However, no further information about this project was available at this stage.
