Biodiesel

Jordan’s government does not mandate the use of biodiesel. However, diesel specifications from the Jordanian Standard and Metrology Organization (JSMO) and the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC) allow up to 7.0% v/v of biodiesel (fatty acid methyl ester or FAME) in diesel sold in the country.

The SGS Worldwide Fuel Survey (WWFS) results from diesel samples taken between 2013 and 2022 showed that no samples contained FAME.
