Projection

SGS INSPIRE is of the opinion that the industrial sector is going to remain a major consumer of hydrogen. While demand from the transport and power generation sectors will increase, it is anticipated that power generation will surpass other sectors between 2030 and 2035. Substantial demand growth in both sectors is likely post-2035, subject to favorable regulatory conditions. The demand for hydrogen from transport and power generation sectors is expected to steadily rise to approximately 5 million tonnes per year of H2 by 2050.
