EU member states
The new Regulation on Infrastructure for Alternative Fuels, AFIR, Regulation (EU) on deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure was published on September 13, 2023 and will come into in force from April 13, 2024. This regulation requires hydrogen quality to comply with EN 17124. Most countries of the EU and some European countries, with the exception of Greece, Malta, Portugal, Kosovo, Georgia, Ukraine and Armenia, have approved EN 17124:2022.
