Biodiesel (B100)

The Korea Petroleum Quality and Distribution Authority (Kpetro) published the country’s biodiesel (B100) specification in 2009. Under this specification, the maximum sulfur limit is set at 10 mg/kg and the minimum fatty acid methyl ester content is set at 96.5% m/m.

The maximum monoglyceride content is set at 0.80% m/m, the total glycerol should be less than 0.24% m/m and the free glycerol is limited to less than 0.02% m/m. Complete details of the B100 specification are available in the SGS INSPIRE fuel specification database.
