SGS INSPIRE’s Assessment of E15 Current and Future Quality After the RVP Waiver
In our January 2019 report, E15 fuel quality in selected states in the U.S. was extensively analyzed. From the SGS data of the tests conducted between 2012 and 2018, significant differences amongst states can be observed, as shown in the figure below:

Only three states comply with the maximum ethanol content allowed: Kansas, Kentucky and Montana. Iowa is within the limit of compliance but shows the highest RVP value of all states, as can be observed in the next figure showing RVP levels.
