Conventional diesel

This section covers quality specifications for fossil diesel formulations used in the U.S. The country undertook transition to ultra-low sulfur (i.e. 15 mg/kg) diesel (ULSD) from 2006 to 2010 (on-road diesel) and 2007 to 2014 (the majority of non-road applications). The subsections that follow will discuss requirements for on-road diesel and non-road diesel.
