Retail price

In 2011, a fuel pricing system was put into force by South Korea’s government. This system has been recommending the selling price for refined petroleum products from the refinery to the fuel stations. The retail price differs among the retailers and the area where fuel stations are located.

On April 11, 2023, the average national gasoline price was KRW 1,631.53 (USD 1.238)/liter. The figure below shows the average retail price of gasoline in South Korea from 2012 to 2022.
