Sulfur
The general trend shown by the SGS WWFS is the reduction of sulfur in all gasoline grades. Kenyan sulfur standards were at 150 ppm until 2019, when EAS 158:2019 gasoline standard entered into force implementing 50 ppm sulfur.
Except in 2011, sulfur levels have met quality specifications, however, these samples have only been taken in Nairobi and Mombasa; in more rural parts of the country, there might be some incompliances.
