Quality monitoring
The Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations under the Environmental Protection and Management Act (Chapter 94A, Sections 12(5) and 77), states that diesel and gasoline sold in Singapore should conform to the standards specified in the regulation.
The regulation also states that to ensure that the quality of fuels kept in fuel stations conforms with the standards, the Director General may send a notice requiring the station to carry out quality analysis. The results should be submitted when required by the Director General. However, there are no further details about the frequency of the quality analysis to be conducted.
Moreover, the results of these fuel quality tests are not publicly accessible.
